In 1974, the Old Clinton Historic District in Jones County, Georgia, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.  That same year, the Old Clinton Historical Society (OCHS),  a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, was formed with the mission to 1) acquire, hold, improve, develop, and restore sites and structures of historical, archeological, or architectural interest in Old Clinton, and 2) increase and diffuse knowledge and greater appreciation of such sites and structures.

We invite you to support our mission by becoming a member (click here for a printable application form).  Your assistance will be much appreciated.  Dues and contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.  Members receive notice of upcoming events and an annual newsletter summarizing the year’s activities and plans for the future.

We also welcome and value volunteers!  Our volunteers are vitally important to achieving our goals.  Click here for more information.
